OFFICE OF CONSUMER & FAMILY AFFAIRS

oocaweb

Office of Consumer & Family Affairs (OCAFA) is a vital, central source for information and support for Idaho’s consumers of behavioral health services and their families.  The OCAFA provides a link to a variety of different stakeholders in the community and state who can assist with resources. The OCAFA assists consumers and families in locating local support groups and educational groups/opportunities that will aid them in becoming better informed about the many different types of services that would educate and support a consumer’s recovery journey as well as educate and support family members.

The OCAFA assists the IDHW – Division of Behavioral Health and the Regional Mental Health Boards in identifying consumers and families who are interested in serving on state and regional groups and initiatives. The OCAFA will create ways to receive consumer and family members’ opinion on their needs and preferences regarding behavioral health services.
