METAs Beyond the Bottom Line business lunch
workshop: The Growing Demand for Buying Local and Going
Green.

Sharon Patterson, founder of the OM your home philosophy and
owner of Eco Edge; Wendie Green, Think Boise First; and
Katie Painter, Global Gardens will lead an interactive panel
discussion. Learn the advantages and why the demand for
buying local and going green is growing, how to capture this
market for your business, and new research and trends on
businesses adopting a triple bottom line approach.

periodic business plan training to eligible women,
minorities, immigrants, and other underserved populations

METAs Business Planning: Plan It, Start It,
Grow It
Four-week
course begins March 23 and concludes April 15 for those
wanting to start or expand their businesses. Topics include
Success Planning, Market Planning, Cash Flow Planning, and
Operations Planning. Immigrants, women, minorities, former
military, and green entrepreneurs encouraged to enroll.
Register now for classes held on Tuesday and Thursday
evenings from 5:30pm-7pm, Alaska Center building, 1020 W.
Main Street, 2nd Floor Conference Room, downtown Boise.

New American's International Women's Day Fundraiser
Our annual International
Women's Day fundraising event is just around the corner!
Come join us on Wednesday, March 10th at the Red Lion
Downtowner from 5:30 - 9:00 p.m. for ethnic food and
entertainment, a silent auction and lots of fun all while
benefitting our refugee clients. Tickets are $25.00 and can
be purchased at the Agency, the door or online
