Volunteers will receive extensive training, hands-on experience, a monthly living allowance, and an education award. See the attached posting or go to http://www.fiaboise.org/legacy-corps for application instructions.
Suicide Prevention Hotline Volunteer: Volunteer Opportunity, The Idaho suicide Prevention Hotline is being created by many partners in the community, and the call center will be up and running in mid-November. In order to assist those in need, we are looking for volunteers to staff the call center. Initially, the hours will be from 9am-5pm, and transitioning to 24 hours during our second year. As a volunteer you will receive Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) which is a 2 day course that does count for CEUs. There will also be a one day training over special topics and another half day of training on general information and procedures.
We are asking for a 4 hour per week commitment for one year. We will be having periodic information sessions if you are interested in volunteering. Please contact us for more details and a volunteer application. Contact John Reusser, Hotline Director at email@example.com or call 208-258-6990208-258-6990.
